Abbot Installation Ceremony

  at Zen River

Dear Friends, 

We are happy to invite you for the occasion of Shinsan-shiki on Saturday September 6,  when Tenkei Coppens Roshi will officially be installed as abbot of Zen River. At the request of Genpo Merzel Roshi, Junyu Kuroda Roshi (Hojo-san) will officiate the ceremony. Other guests from Japan include Rev. Koichi Isoda and his daughters Madoka & Yuriko, Rev. Gigen Ono, and Rev. Kono Shobo, one of Hojo-san's successors. The Shinsan-shiki will be followed by a reception with live music from contributing friends and  members!
